CMS, working with BakerHostetler, has advised the Alpla Group on its acquisition of KM Packaging.

The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

Alpla Group operates in plastic packaging and recycling.

KM Packaging is a closure manufacturer with operations in Germany, Austria, Poland, and the United States.

According to CMS, the transaction is a major boost for Alpla's injection molding division, Alplainject, expanding its product portfolio and enhancing its global production capabilities in closures for tubes, bottles, and jars across the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors.

The CMS Austria-based team included Partners Alexander Rakosi, Dieter Zandler, Mariella Kapoun-Reiter, Hans Lederer, Kai Ruckelshausen, Daniela Kroemer, Marlene Wimmer-Nistelberger, and Oliver Werner, Lawyers Marie-Christine Lidl, Anna Hiegelsperger, and Clemens Macho, and Associates Yara Al-Harbi, Alexander Sommergruber, and Clara Puczynski, Poland-based Partner Blazej Zagorski, Counsel Agnieszka Starzynska, Senior Associates Joanna Bialoskorska and Wojciech Konwisarz, Associates Bartlomiej Glabinski, Karolina Terech, Hubert Jastrzebski, Magdalena Zajecka, and Weronika Piwowarska, and Lawyers Karolina Kosinska, Natalia Matuszewska, and Marta Trebacka, as well as further team members in Germany.
