KPMG has named Partner Martin Hrdlik as the new CEE Head of Legal.

According to KPMG, Hrdlik will be "taking charge of KPMG’s legal operations in the region across 16 countries, with more than 250 attorneys. In his new role, Hrdlik will focus on further integrating legal services, building on the firm’s strong track record in adopting technologies, and driving an ongoing digital transformation of both client services and internal operations."

Hrdlik has been with KPMG since 2011 when he joined as an Attorney at Law. In 2013, he became a Senior Attorney at Law, in 2015 a Counsel, in 2015 a Director, and in 2017 a Partner. Earlier, he worked for Pokorny, Wagner & Partners as a Lawyer between 2004 and 2008, and as an Attorney at Law between 2008 and 2011.

"KPMG’s network of law firms in the CEE region has recorded double-digit growth over the past year, and the goal is to maintain that momentum," commented Hrdlik. "We are making substantial investments into people, technology, and innovation to provide our clients with services that align with the evolving demands of the digital economy. The global KPMG network plans to invest over a billion dollars into tax and legal technology over the next five years, and we are determined to ensure that the CEE region will benefit as much as possible from this investment."
