White & Case has advised Orlen on the issuance of EUR 600 million in seven-year unsecured green bonds with a 3.625% annual coupon.

The syndicate organizing the issuance included BNP Paribas, ING Bank, Societe Generale, CaixaBank, and Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft.

Orlen is a multi-energy group in Central and Eastern Europe.

According to White & Case, the bonds were issued under Orlen's EUR 5 billion Global Medium-Term Note Program, and are listed on both the Euronext Dublin and the Warsaw Stock Exchange regulated markets. Proceeds from the issuance will be used to finance or refinance eligible green projects and activities in line with Orlen's Green Finance Framework.

In 2024, White & Case advises the banks involved on Orlen's EUR 2 billion financing (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on November 1, 2024).

The White & Case team included Warsaw-based Partner Marcin Studniarek, Local Partner Bartosz Smardzewski, and Associates Dawid Ksiazek and Michal Truszczynski as well as further lawyers in London.

White & Case did not respond to our inquiry on the matter.
