Dentons has appointed Partner Anna Szymanska as the new Head of Public Procurement in its Warsaw office.

According to the firm, Szymanska specializes in "advising on projects in the transport, energy, defense, security, municipal and urban infrastructure sectors. She represents bidders and awarding entities in tender proceedings, as well as in appeals before the National Chamber of Appeals and courts."

Szymanska has been with the team since 2007 when she joined legacy firm Salans as an Associate. She was promoted to Senior Associate in 2010, Counsel in 2014, Managing Counsel in 2019, and finally Partner in 2021.

“Public procurement proceedings are an integral part of most major projects in the transport, energy, and defense sectors, and their number is expected to increase in the coming years," Szymanska commented. "My aim is to further strengthen this area of the firm in close cooperation with the project development, regulatory, and transactional teams."
