Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Operator Gazociagow Przesylowych GAZ-System on securing PLN 2.2 billion in financing for the development of the Gdansk–Gustorzyn gas pipeline from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. Bird & Bird advised the Lender.
According to Norton Rose Fulbright, the Gdansk–Gustorzyn gas pipeline is a 250-kilometer energy infrastructure project critical to Poland’s gas transmission system. The financing was provided by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego using funds from Poland’s National Recovery Plan, part of the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility. Once completed, the pipeline will enable gas flow from the Gdansk area to both domestic consumers and regional markets across the Baltic States and CEE, with a planned capacity of 1.32 million cubic meters per hour.
