Oana Voda has joined Schoenherr as Head of Public Procurement in Bucharest.

Voda joins Schoenherr from Corvers Legal & Commercial Affairs, a legal consultancy firm in the Benelux area, where for the past five years she has coordinated the firm's EU public procurement and international trade practice group, after working as an attorney for several years at different Romanian law firms, including Bulboaca si Asociatii, NNDKP, and Savu Herzog & Associates.

"Our decision to bring in Oana Voda is one in a series of measures aimed at developing our projects/PPP/concessions/public procurement practice,” said Sebastian Gutiu, Managing Partner of Schoenherr Bucharest. “We already assist a strong client portfolio in this field, which still has a lot of growth potential in both the Romanian as well as the regional market. Oana's experience in managing international and local public procurement projects will add value to our services in this area."

"The public procurement practice of Schoenherr Romania has picked up over the past five-six years and holds an important share of the services we deliver under the complex umbrella named projects/PPP/concessions/public procurement, which is a part of the regional regulatory practice at Schoenherr,” added Partner Matei Florea. “Our decision to create the position of public procurement head in Bucharest marks our intent to continue developing the public procurement services, in response to our clients' growing demand and to the market realities in Romania and the region."
