Schoenherr Advises Preservation Capital Partners on Sale of Majority Stake in HBC Group to Bridgepoint

Schoenherr, working with Sidley Austin, has advised Preservation Capital Partners on the sale of its majority stake in Hanseatic Broking Center to Bridgepoint. Kirkland & Ellis advised Bridgepoint.

The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

Bridgepoint is a private equity firm.

According to Schoenherr. HBC Group, headquartered in Hamburg, is one of the fastest-growing insurance distribution platforms in Europe, serving over 40,000 customers across Germany and neighbouring markets. The transaction marks PCP’s full exit from HBC. The group’s founders will retain a significant stake as HBC embarks on a new growth chapter in partnership with Bridgepoint, focused on continued expansion, digitalisation, and the integration of additional brokerages.
