Former Associate Partner Radu Diaconu has taken over as Managing Partner of Radu si Asociatii, the EY-affiliated law firm in Romania, from Dragos Radu, who led the firm for the past eight years.
According to Radu si Asociatii, Diaconu "has extensive expertise in providing legal assistance to both strategic and financial investors in a wide range of transactions on the Romanian market. With a background of legal and business studies, including a PhD in the regulation of financial institutions, his expertise covers both mergers & acquisitions and financing operations. Over time, Radu has provided legal assistance in many sectors — industry, energy, the financial sector, real estate and FMCG.”
Diaconu holds an LL.B. from the University of Bucharest and a Ph.D. from the Academia de Studii Economice in Bucharest. Prior to joining Radu si Asociatii in 2013, he spent a year and a half with Linklaters and almost five years with RTPR Allen & Overy.
