Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii has promoted Dan Cristea and Ciprian Timofte to Partner following the firm’s annual performance review in November. The promotions, which will become effective on January 1, 2020, will bring the total number of partners at the firm to 29.
According to TZA, Dan Cristea, who specializes in Dispute Resolution and has 13 years of expertise, has "been directly involved in or having coordinated complex litigation files in various areas of law, such as public procurement, contentious-administrative, corporate/commercial law or sports law." He graduated from the University of Babes-Bolyai Cluj in 2007 and has been with the firm since 2007.
Ciprian Timofte, who specializes in Corporate/M&A, also has 13 years of experience. He heads TZA's Data Protection practice group and, according to the firm, "in recent years he has led complex data privacy projects in all relevant industries." He graduated from the University of Bucharest Faculty of Law in 2008.
Five other lawyers were promoted as part of TZA's promotion round, including Veronica Aman, Cornelia Tabirța and Dana Blaer, who were promoted to Managing Associate, and Robert Trailescu and Elena Carabineanu, who became Senior Associates.
