BSJP's Maciej Kuropatwinski has become a General Partner, while Grzegorz Wasiewski has been promoted to Partner with the firm, as of January 1, 2022.

Kuropatwinski specializes in investment and transactional projects, in particular to businesses active in the area of natural capital, including renewable energy, agricultural, and forest real estate. At BSJP, he cooperates with the corporate and M&A team and the energy law team.

Kuropatwinski has been with the firm since 2009, having joined as a Trainee. He was promoted to Limited Partner in 2019 (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on January 14, 2019). Between 2017 and 2018, he also served as a Foreign Lawyer with Conway Advocaten in the Netherlands.

Wasiewski specializes in energy law, geological and mining law, and commercial law. At BSJP, he supports the public procurement law team, energy law team, and corporate and M&A team.

Wasiewski joined the firm in 2017 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Counsel in 2021. Prior to joining BSJP, Wasiewski spent over eleven years with White & Case, as an Associate.

"January’s internal promotions are a natural consequence of the firm’s dynamic growth and, above all, recognition of the work and commitment of our colleagues to the development of their respective departments," BSJP Partner Jaroslaw Sroka commented.

"We are confident that the assumption of new functions in our structure by these specialists comes as another significant step in the development of the law firm, providing a basis for further strengthening of our key practices, making full use of our potential while working with clients and maximizing the effectiveness of the services we offer," added BSJP Partner Maciej Prusak.
