Norton Rose Fulbright has advised PKO Bank Polski on financing the construction of the 113-megawatt Milkowice solar farm sponsored by Spanish investor Q-Energy. CMS advised Q-Energy.

PKO Bank Polski is a leading lender in the Polish renewable energy market, according to Norton Rose.

Q-Energy is a Madrid-headquartered fund manager focused on renewable energy, the energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure.

According to CMS, the Milkowice farm "is one of the largest photovoltaic projects currently under development in Poland. The energy generated by this farm will be sold to Amazon under a long-term corporate power purchase agreement."

"Amazon is the world's largest corporate purchaser of renewable energy," Norton Rose informed, "and this CPPA will help Amazon on its path to power its operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025, five years ahead of its original target of 2030."

Norton Rose’s team included Counsel Tomasz Rogalski, Senior Associates Daniel Popek, Krzysztof Gorzelak, and Cezary Zawislak, Associates Karolina Majcher and Paula Stepien, and Lawyers Daniel Ksiazek, Jakub Chmiel, and Bartosz Odziemkowski, as well as team members from London and Washington D.C.
