Former Managing Associates Anca Simeria and Iuliana Bidalache have been promoted to Partner at Popescu & Asociatii, starting on January 1, 2022.
Simeria leads the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets practices, also contributing to the development of the Employment, Compensations, and Benefits practice at Popescu & Asociatii. She joined the firm in 2019 as a Managing Associate. Prior to that, she was a Senior Associate at Musat & Asociatii from 2016 to 2019. Earlier, she worked for Popovici Nitu Stoica & Asociatii first as a Trainee and later as an Associate, between 2012 and 2016.
"This promotion represents the most important step in my development as a professional in the legal field, and I am glad to have the trust and support of my colleagues," Simeria said of the appointment.
Bidalache heads the Restructuring and Insolvency practice at Popescu & Asociatii. She is also an Insolvency Partner at the affiliated insolvency company, Popescu Insolvency. Bidalache has been with Popescu & Asociatii for almost three years, having first joined as a Managing Associate in 2019. Earlier, she worked at Musat & Asociatii as a Senior Associate, from 2015 to 2017, and as a Managing Associate, between 2017 and 2019. She also worked as an Attorney-at-Law at BDO Business Restructuring, between 2012 and 2014.
