Dentons Advises International Chemical Investors Group on Acquisition of Benvic Compounds

Dentons has advised the International Chemical Investors Group on its acquisition of the compounds business of the Benvic Group. Gide Loyrette Nouel advised the PVC Europe Group on the sale. 

The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

The Benvic Group is owned by the PVC Europe Group, an independently managed investment subsidiary of Investindustrial Growth. Benvic develops, produces, and markets thermoplastic solutions based on PVC as well as engineering polymers and bio-polymer compounds at its production facilities in France, Italy, Spain, Poland, the UK, and the US.

ICIG is a privately owned industrial group with annual sales in excess of EUR 3 billion. ICIG focuses on three main platforms, including fine chemicals, chlorovinyls, and enterprises. ICIG companies employ approximately 3,900 people and operate more than 20 manufacturing facilities in Europe and the US.

According to Dentons, “with the acquisition, ICIG plans to grow the business and strengthen Benvic’s initiatives to become one of the leaders in sustainable solutions for the plastics industry.”

Dentons’ team included Poland-based Partner Piotr Dulewicz and over 100 lawyers from Germany, France, the UK, the US, Italy, Spain, Poland, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
