CMS has advised a company from the SINO-CEEF group on the construction and sale of a 51-megawatt photovoltaic power plant portfolio in Poland to a consortium of two Chinese investors. B2RLaw, working with King & Wood Mallesons, advised the unidentified buyers on their acquisition.
The transaction closed on September 21, 2022.
According to CMS, "SINO-CEEF is a leading private equity firm that focuses on investments in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as other regions associated with the Belt and Road Initiative."
According to B2RLaw, "the total power generation of these projects is expected to reach 50 gigawatt-hours per year, which meets the electricity demand of more than 9,000 households in Poland and reduces nearly 50,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, in line with the renewable energy development goals of both Poland and the European Union. The projects have created 300 local job opportunities."
