Musat & Asociatii Advises Spectrum Brands on Sale of Battery and Lighting Equipment Divisions to Energizer

Musat & Asociatii has advised Spectrum Brands Holdings on the USD 2 billion sale of its battery and lighting equipment divisions to Energizer Holding.

The agreement was completed in cash in beginning January 2019.

Spectrum Brands Unit is an American consumer goods company. According to a Musat & Associatii press release, the transaction will allow the company to focus on its hardware, car maintenance, and gardening product businesses.

Energizer Holding Inc. is a global manufacturer of primary batteries and portable lighting products. Through this transaction, Energizer will expand its international business, consolidating its position in EMEA and Latin America, Musat & Asociatii reports.
