Banking/Finance and Capital Markets specialist Claudia Chiper has been named Partner at Wolf Theiss in Romania.

Chiper began working with Wolf Theiss in 2008 and has been coordinating the Bucharest office's Banking & Finance practice since October 2013.

According to Wolf Theiss, Chiper "has extensive experience in dealing with and coordinating complex finance transactions as well as advising international and domestic financial institutions, and corporations, including investment funds, in relation to regulatory, and capital markets law. She has led a significant number of banking and finance transactions and her client base includes some of the biggest banking groups present in Romania, as well as international finance corporations. Her most recent benchmark transactions involve advising on some of the largest NPL transactions; advising on the financing transaction granted to Revetas and Cerberus for the purposes of financing the acquisition of Radisson Hotel, Park Inn and the ancillary amenities in Bucharest (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on January 17, 2018), and advising on a number of private placements of bonds governed by Romanian law.

Commenting on her new role, Chiper said: "I am glad to have achieved this milestone in my professional career which is also a reflection of our practical, knowledgeable and passionate Banking & Finance team. We will continue our commitment to offer high quality legal advice which has yielded the appreciation of our clients."

"Claudia Chiper enjoys an exceptional reputation in the field of Banking & Finance in Romania," said Wolf Theiss Bucharest Managing Partner Bryan Jardine. "We are pleased to welcome her to our partnership."

Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Claudia spent four and a half years as Senior Legal Counsel at the Romanian Ministry of Justice.
