Schoenherr has advised Engie Romania on the acquisition of a fully operational Romanian photovoltaic project from two German investors.

The PV park, which has an installed capacity of 5.46 megawatts, is located in Teleorman county, Romania. According to Schoenherr, “through this transaction Engie strengthens its position in the Romanian renewable energy market where the company plans to further develop its portfolio of renewable energy capacities, both through organic growth and acquisitions.”

Schoenherr’s team was led by Local Partner Monica Cojocaru and included Local Partner Simona Chirica, Senior Attorney Simona Lehniuc, and Managing Attorney Madalina Mitan.

Schoenherr could not provide any more information on the deal.
