Gessel Managing Associate Maciej Boryczko has been appointed Head of the firm’s Real Estate practice.

Boryczko joined Gessel in 2011 and was promoted to a Managing Associate in 2016. According to the firm, “he has built up a solid track record advising domestic and international investors on a wide range of projects, including complex deal structures involving the purchase, rental, and lease of real estate, financing of real estate investments, and revitalization and commercialization projects – and also assessing and quantifying the attendant risks and devising solutions to mitigate them. He has worked on over 100 due diligence projects, most of them with real estate elements. Maciej is also well versed in corporate law and in M&A matters.”

Prior to joining Gessel, Boryczko spent four years in-house at AAT Holding.

“It is with gratitude that I accept the opportunity to lead Gessel’s Real Estate law practice, and I am proud to be associated with a firm which, once again, proves itself to be a great place to learn and to grow,” Boryczko said. “I have had the privilege to work with Gessel since 2011, coming up step by step, and it is really a place where you can spread your wings!  Today’s real estate market in Poland is a highly interesting one, being as it is a focal point for various challenges and processes of relevance to the economy as a whole.”

Boryczko “will be leading a team dedicated to supporting our clients in all things relating to real estate,” commented Gessel Managing Partner Marcin Macieszczak. “For my part, I am happy to witness this latest milestone in his career. [He] has plenty of experience in the field, and he is renowned in the market and well-liked by his colleagues, so I am confident that he will acquit himself well in his new role.”
