Luminita Popa, Managing Partner of Suciu Popa, and Cristiana Irinel Stoica, Founding Partner at Stoica & Asociatii, have been appointed the new Romanian Members of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.

The ICC International Court of Arbitration is an international arbitral institution for the resolution of commercial disputes and has been resolving international commercial and investment disputes since 1923. The Court's membership currently totals 176 individuals from 104 countries.

The appointments are effective as of July 1, 2018, for three years.

Luminita Popa’s role as Member of the Court will involve attending plenary and committee court sessions, preparing reports, and participating in the decision-making process. Her appointment was proposed by Alexis Mourre, President of the Court.

On her appointment, Popa commented: “The ICC Court of International Arbitration is one of the strongest and most trusted international arbitration bodies. It is an honor to represent Romania at the Court. I look forward to working with such a distinguished group of experts and make an effective contribution to the quality and efficiency of services provided by the Court.”

Popa will also continue her practice at Suciu Popa, representing clients in international arbitration cases. She also acts as an arbitrator.
