On May 10, 2023, Leroy si Asociatii announced that Tereos’ sale of its sugar factory in Ludus, Romania, to private investors Mihaela Neagu and Mihail-Daniel Matache (reported by CEE Legal Matters on February 14, 2023) had closed.
As previously reported, Leroy si Asociatii had advised French food and beverage group Tereos – a provider of raw materials, sugar, starches, and alcohol in 155 countries – on the sale of its sugar factory in Ludus to two Romanian private investors. Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii had reportedly advised the buyers.
The Leroy si Asociatii team was led by Founding Partner Bruno Leroy and Partner Andreea Toma and included Senior Associate Adriana Spataru and Associates Roxana Palade and Mihnea Orjan.
