Zepos & Yannopoulos, working with Cyprus' Tassos Papadopoulos and Associates, has advised the Nabtesco Corporation on its acquisition of maritime technology start-up DeepSea Technologies.

DeepSea has offices in Cyprus and headquarters in Athens. It focuses on vessel performance monitoring and AI optimization.

The Nabtesco Corporation is a Japanese engineering company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It specializes in gearboxes, rail and aviation automation, and industrial robotics.

According to Zepos & Yannopoulos, the acquisition "will support Nabtesco’s move towards the development of autonomous vessels and other AI applications in its business sectors."

Back in 2021, Zepos & Yannopoulos had also advised Nabtesco's technology venture capital fund on leading a EUR 5 million investment round into DeepSea Technologies (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on September 17, 2021).

The Zepos & Yannopoulos team included Partners Athina Skolarikou and Manolis Zacharakis, Senior Associate Antonis Giannakodimos, and Associates Nefeli Apostolopoulou and Alexandros Lamprou.
