Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners has advised US-based chemical corporation 3M on Russian legal aspects of personal data processing and website cookies.

According to EPAM, cookies have only recently been recognized as a matter of personal data in the Russian Federation. According to the firm, its lawyers provided recommendations to 3M as to the utilization of website cookies and procurement of necessary consent for their processing.
