CMS has advised the Bitdefender cybersecurity company on its acquisition of Singapore-based Horangi Cyber Security. Singapore's Dentons Rodyk & Davidson reportedly advised the unidentified sellers.

According to CMS, with this acquisition, Bitdefender will incorporate Horangi’s Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management and Cloud Security Posture Management capabilities into the Bitdefender GravityZone unified risk and security analytics platform to add "critical compliance and governance capabilities to Bitdefender’s threat prevention, protection, detection, and response capabilities. Additionally, Horangi’s security services offerings, including proactive risk assessment, red teaming, and penetration testing, will integrate with Bitdefender-managed detection and response services."

"As multi-cloud adoption rapidly grows across all industries, organizations face an unprecedented struggle to efficiently manage thousands of configuration settings, permissions, identities, and entitlements to remain secure and compliant," Bitdefender Co-Founder and CEO Florin Talpes commented. "The acquisition of Horangi enables Bitdefender to help customers address these struggles head-on and is a significant milestone in our security solution strategy, paving the way for continuing innovation."

The CMS team included Romania-based Partner Horea Popescu and Counsel Mircea Moraru, as well as further team members in Singapore and London.
