CMS Advises Partner in Pet Food on Polish Business Acquisition

CMS has advised Cinven-controlled Partner in Pet Food on the acquisition of pet food businesses G-Mart and Zaklad Przetworstwa Rolniczego from Polish entrepreneur Grzegorz Werblinski.

Closing is expected in the coming months, pending regulatory approval.

According to CMS, the Werblinski pet food business, established in 2004 in Kalisz, Poland, has a “long history of producing high-quality dog and cat food for Polish and international customers, including supermarkets and specialty pet food retailers.”

PPF is a European pet food producer and, since 2018, a portfolio company of the Sixth Cinven Fund. Earlier this year, CMS advised Partner in Pet Food on its acquisition of Mispol (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on August 6, 2021).
