Linklaters Counsel Michal Miecinski will join CMS as a Partner in the firm's real estate and construction team in Poland, starting in November 2021.

According to CMS, Miecinski has 25 years of experience in advising on real estate transactions in Poland and CEE. "He will be responsible, together with Partner Lidia Dziurzynska-Leipert, for further developing the transactional part of CMS’s business in the real estate market in Poland." He focuses on real estate M&A and joint ventures, portfolio transactions, sale and leaseback, forward sale/purchase transactions, and restructuring in the real estate sector.

Miecinski first joined Linklaters in Warsaw in 1996 and has since spent 20 years with the firm. He left as a Managing Associate in 2008, for a 4-year stint as a Partner with Furtek Komosa Aleksandrowicz. He rejoined Linklaters as a Counsel in 2013.

"Michal’s appointment is another step in the implementation of our business strategy in the Polish market and of our plans for the development of our real estate and construction team," commented CMS Poland Managing Partner Andrzej Posniak. "Michal is a widely-known and talented professional, with years of experience in transactional work, in-depth knowledge of the real estate market, and strong relationships with key investors."

"I am delighted to be joining CMS, whose international real estate practice is very strong and enjoys an excellent reputation among clients not only in Poland, but in the vast majority of jurisdictions in which it operates, including the UK, Western Europe, and Central and Eastern Europe," Miecinski said. "My goal is to strengthen the real estate practice of CMS Poland as a first-choice advisor to a wide range of investors in this market segment."

We know the particularities of the local market just as well as the needs of our clients and combine both to achieve optimum solutions. Our lawyers are Bulgarian qualified and we also have English qualified experts – all of them regularly working on cross-border mandates.

In our work, we focus on M&A, Energy, Projects and Construction, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Media, IP and IT law, Tax, Employment law, Competition, Procurement and any kind of Dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. What’s more, we also take care of the entire legal management of our clients’ projects.
